  • Stairs & Balustrade

    Stairs & Balustrade

Our brief was to supply and install a new Internal Stair & Balcony extension. This stainless steel glazed ballustrade was to allow for strings and supports as per the engineer’s sketch. 19mm toughened polished glass was used on 4nr ø70mm stainless steel point fixing per panel of glass.

  • War Memorial Totems

    War Memorial Totems

These War Memorial totems have a stainless steel structure made from grade 304, including a 2mm S/S grade 316 cladding. Marble tablets are incorporated into the design.

  • Free Standing Stairs

    Free Standing Stairs

For the Free Standing Stairs, we combined 19mm toughened clear glass with stainless steel clamping plates, added timber cladding and finished with lacquer on the underside of the treads. The copper cladding is made from flat and curved 2mm gauge aluminium, with 7mm shadow gaps on all panel joints. The panels were secret fixed to metal studding.

  • Balconies & Screens

Balcony Guard Rails: stainless steel handrail fixed to the top of guardrail to the structural engineer’s detail. Laminated tempered glass panel fixed between the uprights of the stainless steel balconies using continuous neoprene gasket surround on both sides of the glass, fixed with 20mm x 20mm angle cleats. All steelwork was polyester powder coated.

  • Feature Swings

Painted atrium feature, stainless steel Staircase for a blue chip client. These unique stairs were designed with a stainless steel lit handrail and acoustic perforated panelling with sound deadening material. The selected finish was toughened glass panels for each riser with an LED display installed behind.

  • Coloured Glass

    Coloured Glass

The lacobel glass is bonded to a full sheet of 1.5mm thick galvanised steel and is fixed to the lift wall by backing channels which have a secret lift-off mechanism, giving the glass the impression that it is suspended (floating) without fixings. Both the handrail and the brackets are removable to allow glass replacement, if necessary.

  • Lighting Masts

    Lighting Masts

PRO Stainless were tasked with designing, manufacturing and installing stainless steel Lighting Masts and War Memorial totems on the final phase of civil engineering works to complete King’s Cross Square. The lighting columns were to be an integral and important part of the redevelopment of the square.

  • Glazed Bridge

    Glazed Bridge

Briefed to build a structural glass floor, we used a double glazed unit made up of 32mm laminated structural glass, with the top layer fritted for non-slip properties. We added steel spacers, contraflam and pyranova glass to provide the required fire rating for a stainless steel bridge.

  • Garden Furniture

    Garden Furniture

PRO Stainless provided a number of bespoke features for this atrium garden. A bridge support structure over the water feature was built with specialist ekki timber and bespoke anodised aluminium planter boxes in various RAL colours. The street furniture and benches were fabricated from 316 grade stainless steel, as was the balustrade for the courtyard stairs.
